THE IMPACT OF ALTERNATIVE MEDIA ON MEDIA WORK IN ALGERIA A FIELD STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF MEDIA PROFESSIONALS IN THE STATE OF SETIF AND LIDA HADDADI

This study started from the importance of alternative media as a new form of media, and a free space for collective thought, which allowed the media to exchange information and produce knowledge in easy and fast ways. It also changed the rules and methods of media and communication work, thanks to the multiplicity of its means and its diversity among the blogging press, social networking sites and forums especially since it has had a major impact on public opinion on many issues that traditional media could not achieve. The study found support for the media in the state of Setif for alternative media in the performance of their media work. Most of them see an integrative relationship between traditional media and alternative media, which has been able to support freedom of information in Algeria. And this necessitates the need to verify the sources adopted and the accuracy of information in the alternative media, as well as the need for special laws for the electronic work to control the electronic media practice in Algeria.
