POLICIES DRAWN FROM RESEARCH REPORTS FINDINGS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE JORDANIAN ASSOCIATIONS SECTOR AND THE OBSTACLES TO THEIR IMPLEMENTATION.

Abstract:

During the years 2011-2020 researchers and institutions concerned with development, human rights and good governance have prepared many research reports on Jordanian associations, which can be reviewed to derive policies from them regarding the development of the Jordanian association sector, which may face obstacles to its implementation or adoption. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to answer its major question, “What are the policies drawn from the research reports findings on the development of the Jordanian Associations sector and the obstacles to their implementation?”, by employing its qualitative approach represented in analyzing the content of 29 research reports and conducting interviews with four concerned experts on associations by virtue of their practical experience.

The findings showed that there are eight policies drawn from research reports to develop the Jordanian Association sector that may not be applied or adopted by the concerned institutions for political and administrative reasons, which were 6 and 8 respectively. Out of these two findings emerged three practical recommendations, which may guarantee that the concerned institutions adopt policies for developing the associations sector, drawn from the findings of the research reports.
