ATTITUDES OF TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS TOWARDS USING THE EDUCATIONAL DRAMA STRATEGY IN THE TEACHING PROCESS

Abstract The study aimed to identify the attitudes of teachers in schools towards using the educational drama strategy in the teaching process. This study came in order to answer the following questions: 1- What are the attitudes of teachers in schools towards using the educational drama strategy in the teaching process?, 2- Are there significant differences? Statistical significance at the level of significance (0.05 ≥ α) in the attitudes of teachers in schools towards using the instructional drama strategy in the teaching process due to the variables (gender, years of experience, specialization, stage taught by the teacher)? The study included hypotheses according to the study questions. To achieve the objectives of the study, the two researchers developed a questionnaire consisting of 36 items divided into three areas: motivation, achievement, communication and communication. The questionnaire was applied to a sample of 177 male and female teachers in Tulkarm Governorate, Palestine, during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. They were selected by a simple random method, and the two researchers followed the descriptive and analytical approach. The results of the study indicated that the attitudes of teachers in schools towards using the drama strategy in teaching were high in all areas of the study. The results of the study also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α) in the attitudes of teachers in schools towards using the drama strategy. Education in the teaching process for gender-variant students, academic stage. While there were differences in the variable of years of experience, in favor of those with more than 10 years of experience, and the variable of the nature of the specialization taught by the teacher, in favor of teachers who teach literary subjects. In light of the results, the two researchers made several recommendations, including: encouraging teachers to use the educational drama strategy in the teaching process, including the educational drama strategy in teaching plans and programs, and providing the necessary logistical support to use the educational drama strategy in schools. key words: trends, educational drama strategy, teaching process
